Ok, so she’s not…Not yet…But she is engaged…Kinda…And not to me.
The military is the only job I know of that will pay you more for being married, so the Baby will be getting married this weekend.
Her salary will almost double. She will get a food allowance, a housing allowance, a buch of other allowances that I”ve managed to forget…
She calls herself an opportunist. She says that she’s doing it for us. That I will live rent free.
While all of that sounds wonderful (at least on paper), there is something about this that bothers me.… *Read the rest

I feel so incredibly lame.
I’m excited about having a girlfriend. I’m excited as if I’ve never had a girlfriend before. I feel like a teenager.
We were on the phone and she asked one of her roommates about graduation weekend. She wanted to know how getting passes off base would work. She says, “So what would happen if my girlfriend came?” I smiled to myself and waited for her to finish her conversation.

I decided tonight that I would tell her. I would say it because it was true and because I thought she should know. I’m not sure why I chose tonight. Especially when I had decided in my mind that I would wait to see her, to see her reaction…
